Community Forestry Grants Now Open
The Community Forestry Grant applications are now open!
There are four returning categories from last year and two brand-new categories! Over $12 million in grant funding will be offered. Applications are open now and will close on February 14, 2025.
Community Forestry Grant Categories:
Climate Resiliency – One award of $50,000
Human Health Equity and Accessibility – One award of $50,000
Municipal Forester – One award of $100,000
Workforce Development – Up to two awards of $50,000
Tree Planting – Up to 10 awards of up to $20,000
Community Greening – Up to five awards of $2,375,000

Michael is a graduate of Texas A&M University in College Station, TX. He received his B.S in Recreation Administration in 2005 and went to work for the City of Grand Prairie, Texas right after graduation. Michael serves as Secretary of TBUFC and provides technical support for the organization.
